Joint Support at RHS for “Your Place at the Table”

Tiger Nation sponsored a community meal on October 22 at First United Methodist Church on Main Street in Randleman. “Your Place at the Table” community outreach meals are offered bi-monthly by various civic and community organizations to the area’s citizens who may be in need of a warm meal and opportunity to fellowship with others. Randleman High School’s Foods I and II students prepared a delicious meal of baked ziti, fresh green salad, and warm garlic bread with chocolate eclair cake for dessert. The groceries for the meal were donated by others from the RHS Tiger Family – clubs, sports teams, and teachers.

Service for those attending the meal was provided by a joint effort of RHS’s Key Club, AIM, SkillsUSA, and Student Government. In all, almost 40 Randleman High School students participated in this opportunity to give back to their community. It was truly a total Tiger Nation initiative and a great success! RHS is already on the calendar to do it again next year – and looking forward to another meaningful service-learning experience.
